The release of Version 12 introduces comprehensive support for BlackBerry® Enterprise Services (push email, contact, calendar and task sync) with a seamless device management experience for organizations that want simplicity, affordability, and compatibility between an on-premise email server and their BlackBerry devices. MDaemon users can follow the simple and intuitive user interface to quickly set-up and receive push email delivery from the mail server to their favourite BlackBerry device.

Additional enhancements have been made to MDaemon's multi-language WorldClient webmail server that includes message follow-up flags, summary views, enhanced search, and enhanced layout features.

Mail Server

MDaemon supports IMAP, SMTP, and POP3 protocols and delivers solid performance from its feature-rich and user-friendly design. The mail server software delivers low total cost of ownership (TCO) value designed to meet the needs of small- to medium-sized business customers. MDaemon is available in multiple languages and supports mailing lists, content filtering, and multiple domains while offering flexible administration and an open standards design.

Spam Filtering

MDaemon includes a powerful spam filter, greylist processing, and features SpamAssassin 3, which uses a wide variety of local and network tests to identify spam signatures that make it harder for spammers to identify a single aspect that they can craft their messages to work around. When combined with SecurityPlus,* MDaemon Email Server provides inline antivirus scanning that helps detect and reject viruses with the least amount of time and effort.

BlackBerry Connectivity

The MDaemon Messaging Server offers integrated support for BlackBerry® push email as well as seamless contact, calendar and task sync with Microsoft Outlook. Integration works on the basic "Blackberry Internet Solution" mobile tarrif.

Anti-Virus and Outbreak Protection

SecurityPlus for MDaemon complements and extends the built-in security features of MDaemon, providing a shield to stop security trouble before it starts. The ComAgent instant messaging application is included with MDaemon and provides secure instant messaging (IM), address book synchronization, and an email notification tray applet to provide quick access to MDaemon's webmail client email features.

Email Security

MDaemon Email Server for Windows incorporates multiple layers of security techniques such as Relay Controls, IP Shielding, SMTP Authentication, and reverse lookups to minimize possible server exploits. It uses the advanced email authentication techniques of Vouch By Reference (VBR), and validates and signs messages using DKIM, DomainKeys, Sender-ID, and SPF. Combined with its anti-spam engine, Bayesian Learning, SSL/TLS, backscatter protection, and SecurityPlus for MDaemon's* proactive malware prevention, MDaemon provides layered protection to safeguard your messaging communications.

Remote Administration

WebAdmin, a convenient remote administration tool included with MDaemon, provides administrators full access to all of MDaemon's features from any computer with a web browser and an Internet connection. MDaemon's WebAdmin allows you to do everything from adding or editing accounts, to directly editing configuration files, to reviewing logs for troubleshooting mail delivery issues, and so much more. With MDaemon's built-in SSL capabilities, WebAdmin can even be accessed via a secure connection using HTTPS.
